Students Arrive Home!

On Monday evening, August 16, our group of 19 people arrived safely back at Portland International Airport to a huge crowd of family members, friends, teachers and school administrators, and Pangaea Project Board and staff carrying balloons and signs. The students will engage in 3 sessions of re-entry training to help them process and reflect upon their experiences in preparation for presentations to the community. You can learn about their trip through their wonderful blog entries. Welcome back, travelers!

Oregonian Logo The Pangaea Project empowers youth from low-income families to become effective "changemakers" in their community and the world.  Each year, a new cohort of high school students participates in our core classroom experience, overseas journey, and graduate leadership program, combining local and international service-learning projects.

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and with staff in Ecuador and Thailand, our unique model of education provides once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for disadvantaged youth to learn about local and global issues related to solidarity, human rights, social change and community organizing.
